Fantastic song.

Re: U2
for me, 'Stay (Faraway, So Close)' is one of their best songs. I love it

Re: U2
Made some unbelieveable tracks down the years (more the older stuff).

Unfortunately like most good rock bands they became a bit of a parody of themselves. Bono mostly.

He acts like he can walk on water and he does nothing to make me think he actually doesn't truly believe it.

That's the one.

Re: U2
is that the one filmed in South America? I had one on video where the four walk to the stage with a remix of the old 'pop music' track blasting in the background. one of the best intros to a gig ive seen and a great show

OK. I'm with you now.

If you haven't seen it, try the Popmart live DVD. Makes the Pop album songs make more sense I think.

Re: U2
bungo, I also like them. that's why I altered my original post as it looked like I was digging out AB :.)

Funny old thing personal taste.

Achtung Baby and Zooropa that followed it are my two favourite U2 albums.

Also love 'Pop' that most people really didn't like.

Re: U2
*up to and including achtung baby, I also enjoyed zooropa*

I'm bold enough to admit I'm one.

Their new tour kicked off last night in Vancouver. Looking forward to seeing them for 3 nights of their run at the O2 in October.

violator

Indeed. As was "The Joshua Tree".

They took a wrong turn some time around 1990.

Re: U2
I couldn't give a fuck about bono's politics but they still made some very good albums up to achtung baby

The unforgettable fire is a great album

Re: U2
What's the difference between Bono and God?

God doesn't walk around the streets of Dublin thinking he's Bono!

Old as the hills, I know, but still amusing.

Re: U2
U2 are the band everyone seems to love to hate, never mind shy tories, must be a hell of a lot of shy U2 fans out there.

Ronald_antly 11:16 Fri May 15
Re: U2
BB King had some nice things to say about Bono back in the day.

Re: U2
I'm sure they're both crying all the way to the bank (that they may as well own).
